Small Kitchen Arrangement Ideas – As someone who never had a large kitchen in any of the apartments I lived in, I love and appreciate the ingenious ideas that come from designing a small space (especially the kitchen). I had to get a little creative with this type of room, so if you have a small kitchen that you want to update, I’m really here for you. In fact, I’m in your shoes right now! Every day I look at my sweet little kitchen and ask her, “How can I make you better?! Talk to me!” So I hope to inspire you today with great ideas that you can use, whether you are a renter or a remodeler. Maybe I have some nice ideas too ๐

Small Kitchen Arrangement Ideas
Okay, I know you saw this kitchen last week, but since it was the inspiration for this post, I thought it would be first. I think the most obvious first idea to steal is a timeless design idea. Although photographed and designed for Em’s new book, this kitchen was actually built at least seven years ago. Can you tell me? Classic materials (white oak and white marble), a neutral but stylish color palette, clean lines and simple appliances are the ingredients for a kitchen design that will look great for years to come.
Small Kitchen Ideas To Transform Your Space

One thing that Ryan noticed in the post is that the island and kitchen counters are made of the same marble. Not only is it simple and beautiful, but it also helps to make this corner area look more consistent. Your eyes will also rest. This is a very good thing if they go with open shelves. As you’ll see in a moment, I’m a big fan when it comes to open shelving. I especially think that really small kitchens are the perfect place for them. But why? Whether you live alone or with someone else, chances are you have a ton of dishes, glasses, etc. you won’t need it. It makes everything easier to see and organize. It also opens up the top half of your kitchen, making it appear larger and visually lighter. Finally, it is an easy way to tidy up your kitchen and give it a personal touch. You can easily add color with plates or glasses and decorate beautiful vases and plates, the sky is the limit. It’s a fun playground ๐
Oh, and of course I have to mention the island’s abilities as a transformer. As shown above, it can be an island or a desktop. If necessary, it can be moved to the center of the studio and become a dining table for four (maybe six).

Beautiful Small Kitchen Ideas
Here is my former little oasis. While I don’t miss the lack of useful interior storage (look at the cabinet after the oven – less easy access) and the UGLY floor, I miss most of the rest. This kitchen was a true DIY love affair, perhaps because my father rejected me for my “special and detailed” wishes.

So what did I do with my little kitchen? Fun fact: It wasn’t the smallest kitchen I’ve ever lived in – Hey, San Francisco! Okay, here’s the list:
If you’re wondering if I removed the cabinet door from the top, I didn’t. They already are. Although they used to have doors. I loved designing them and displaying all the things I saw and used. In my opinion, doors lack a design feature. If you have enough storage space, remove some (or all) of your upper cabinet doors and paint them all the same color (if not all the same) for an intentional look. I am thinking about this in my new kitchen.

So my other love on the left is my old banquette. See, I could make a nice bistro table and two chairs and call it a day. But a) I like to complicate things for myself, but more b) I really wanted to use as much square footage as possible – everyone should try as much as possible when designing a small space. inches each. counts. Moreover, I can say from experience that it has increased the area. I had opened a temporary bistro there and it felt really small.
All wooden parts are made from stair lifts! This meant that the front of each piece was already round. I’m crazy now that my dad has friends who can go around corners and sides with ease. And if you want to make a bench or a banquette between two walls, don’t worry about it! Then I made the blue velvet back with my aunt (no sewing machine needed) and the brass studs are thrift store cut Restoration Hardware curtain rods my dad’s girlfriend found. I went into all the details in the original post, but I wanted to show you that there is still a lot you can do even if you rent. Don’t let the words “I rent” keep you from designing a home you truly love.
My only regret about the kitchen (besides not doing anything to those floors) is that I didn’t get a beautiful roman shade for the window. Is there always room for improvement? ๐

Best Timeless Kitchen Design Ideas Of 2023
Welcome to Velinda’s Basement Kitchen. He lives in an apartment, or as he likes to call it, “a 400-square-foot hobbit house that sits on top of my 980-square-foot bungalow,” which he rents out. There are really many ideas, very close. First, let’s talk about home appliances. That little oven you see is actually a 5-in-1 oven! He says it “cooks, grills, bakes, boils and microwaves… and fits in a 24” cabinet. Unfortunately, I think that is no longer the case, but when it comes to appliances and small spaces, you can see what you can put together.
A clever and unusual thing he did was to take a standard size sink and turn it on its side. Let me tell you why:
“I didn’t want a standard, small kitchen sink. I wanted to be able to fit a crockpot or dutch oven, but still maximize counter space. So I turned the standard size sink on its side… which means the drain is off center. I think I know, but he allowed every inch for a 20″ wide (but 24” deep!) base cabinet. PLUS, it freed up half the closet and increased the storage space below by putting the trash can to one side instead of in the center (which was one of my main needs)!โ
Clever, oh!!!! Also notice how he chose a wall-mounted faucet, so he doesn’t need counter space when he reverses the direction of the sink. It all feels very consciousโฆ because it is.

Velinda also noted that she chose glazed Zellige tiles to add light to the surroundings. This is a great way to maximize space. It’s like a mirror, but you don’t have to look at yourself! Basically, for this reason, think twice before using matte tiles in a small kitchen.
Have you noticed those beautiful super skinny shelves too? Because it made a bigger design statement with the tile walls and shelves, choosing these slim metal shelves was the perfect solution to not overwhelm the space but not compromise the storage space you need. Plus, they look great!
Little Velinda’s latest little kitchen (but seriously, read her entire post) is the iron rods she uses as a rack for her kitchen tools. One is a towel bar near the hood for heavy meals, and the other is a tie on the side of the cabinet. It was the perfect size, had lots of hooks and helped free up space. A must if the kitchen is an interesting size ๐
