If you have a small bathroom, you’ll want to stick around because I’m going to talk about how to make a small bathroom stylish even if you don’t have a lot of space—or especially counter space—to work with. so. do .

When I moved into this studio apartment about 3 years ago, I had to figure out how to work around the space limitations and complex layout planning that comes with the studio style.

And even in my tiny bathroom, a space with almost no space for anything—let alone decor—I was able to create a space that reflected my personality and felt beautiful at the same time.

The reason I think bathrooms are so hard to redecorate is because you don’t really have much wiggle room in terms of where things go. You operate within several set parameters – the shower stays where it is, the toilet stays where it is, the sink too.

You can’t move things like the couch or the table. There isn’t a lot of flexibility when it comes to decorating a bathroom, especially in a small bathroom where all these physical barriers are crushed against each other.

So small bathroom design is really about getting around these physical obstacles in small but effective ways.

Small Bathroom Decor Ideas

And there are three simple things you can focus on that will help you achieve big style in your small bathroom. And now I will tell them.

First I will talk about creating a countertop, because this is the most immediate problem that comes with small bathrooms.

You probably want to add small decorative accents to your bathroom, but how do you do that when you have almost no counter space?

Well, I recommend starting with functional items – items you need around the sink, whatever. You need hand soap and towels. There’s no getting around it, and luckily you can buy a stylish hand soap dispenser that can be both decorative and functional.

After you’ve taken care of the functional items, you can quickly add decorative touches to the space you have left on your countertop. I’ve used all the counter space here, but you definitely don’t have to fill up all the empty space. My counter space would look just as good (or better, according to some of the less informed, I’m sure) if I tweaked things a bit.

If there’s one thing you should avoid at all costs when it comes to bathroom space, it’s leaving out toiletries, beauty products and accessories. Nothing brightens up a bathroom more than hairspray, drugstore facial cleansers, makeup and hair products.

Small Bathroom Ideas For Decorating Tiny Spaces

There are few beauty and skincare products that come in pretty packaging like this cleanser that I have, so this will be the exception to the rule. It looks good and goes with that look, so it’s one of those things that doubles as decorative.

But look what happens when I take the drugstore cleanser out of the shower and put it in the sink. Suddenly the whole picture disappears.

When it comes to small bathrooms, it’s all about the little details, and when it comes to limited counter space, there’s really no room for fat.

However, keep these unattractive items away as much as you can. I know it’s hard in a small bathroom

Small Bathroom Ideas That Will Make The Most Of A Tiny Space

Another thing you can focus on when decorating your small bathroom is to use large wall art instead of small wall art.

It may be counterintuitive for me to recommend large wall art for a small bathroom, but trust me, large wall art in a small space is better than small wall art that only creates a sense of chaos and confusion. the place

Of course, there are exceptions depending on the bathroom, but if you don’t want to have any problems with wall art for your small bathroom, I suggest you choose a striking piece that will make an impression on the small piece. small pieces.

This allows your wall art to act as an anchor in your small bathroom, a focal point rather than a clutter contributor.

Small Bathroom Ideas With Vintage Decor

I have a gold foil map of LA here that has an immediate visual impact on the place. Imagine if I had a small piece of art or several small pieces of art – it would just add clutter to the wall.

Another way would be to add a mirror here, which is a popular solution for small spaces, but let me warn you about the use of objects, especially in bathrooms: think about what the mirror will reflect. I’m going to say something potentially controversial here, but bear with me: bathroom rugs may be soft on your feet, but that’s all they’re good for. It’s usually not the most stylish addition you can make to your bathroom.

I like to use visually appealing rugs that aren’t necessarily suitable for the bathroom.

In a small space, your rug is a great opportunity to communicate the desired style. It uses the largest piece of visual real estate in your bathroom – your floor – and therefore has the potential to make a big statement.

Don’t get me wrong, bath mats are great. And one thing they have is the soft and comfortable on the feet factor. So if you prefer leg feel over style, I totally understand.

Inventive Small Bathrooom Decor Ideas

But if you’re frustrated with your small bathroom—if you feel like it just doesn’t fit you in terms of style—you may find that replacing your bathroom rug with a more stylish one isn’t necessary for the bathroom. There is a piece missing. A piece that unifies the overall look of your bathroom in one fell swoop.

So go there! These are three very simple things you can focus your attention on to make a big style statement in your small bathroom.

Just because your bathroom is small doesn’t mean you can’t have these great styles, even if they come in small packages. And it’s really about how they fit together. So one thing by itself might not have the effect you want, but when you put everything together, it’s like this big symphony that you kind of fit into a small…small space.
