How To Make Your Lips Look Bigger – With celebrities like the Kardashians getting lip fillers, lip augmentation has quickly become one of the most popular cosmetic procedures. But lip augmentation isn’t just for the “glamorous.”
Many women in their 20s and 30s want fuller lips. They often opt for a subtle lip augmentation to enhance their look a bit. Older women also come to take care of thin lips. And if they have kiss lines (ie straw lines or smoker lines), they want a procedure that fills them out.
How To Make Your Lips Look Bigger
Lip injections don’t have to result in large lips – even a little filler can improve the lip line. Whether you’re hoping for the perfect pout or just want your lips to look like they used to, there are plenty of lip enhancement options available.

Before you decide how to make your lips fuller, consider the result. Then bring photos to your appointment that show what you’re looking for.
There are so many options, so come up with ideas! Then be open to suggestions about what your body can actually handle. Our bodies react differently to fillers, so based on your anatomy we recommend where the filler should go. Then we can always massage it into place to get the perfect shape.
Botox and Dysport offer a simple solution for special events. Typically, these neurotoxins are used on the forehead, glabella, and around the eyes, but when used in small doses, they also work to plump up the gummy smile. When inserted into the center of the upper lip (around your cupid’s bow), they contract the orbicularis oculi muscle. This large circular muscle, which inflates, also curls the lower lip. With botox, your upper lip begins to curl, making it look a little bigger.
Many women choose this option before the wedding. If you’re smiling in a lot of photos, you don’t want to be caught without a top lip! You’ll be left with fuller lips that last 2-3 weeks.
How To Properly Apply Makeup For Your Lip Shape
We use Juvederm Ultra or Restylane Silk to line the lip lines, which in my opinion are two of the most gentle and sensitive fillers. I can give you enough filler to restore the volume you had in your youth. It won’t give you big lips or a puffy look, but it will give you subtle thickness.
The result lasts for about six months. Because this area moves so often, your body processes it quickly. So how long it takes depends on how much you move your mouth!
If you want your lips to turn into an angle before, this is the best option. These fillers add serious volume to your lips (think Kylie Jenner!). Juvederm Ultra Plus or Regular Restylane also lasts about 6 months, depending on the person’s movement.
If you like the look of your filler and want it to last a little longer, adding Botox is an additional option. We can put a small amount into the cupid’s bow of your lip to keep the filler from moving.

Always remember that hiring a professional will save you money (and your face) in the long run. Beauty shops or MedSpas may offer the same services and promote great sales and coupons, but they do not have a doctor on site. If something goes wrong, a doctor is needed to dissolve the filler.
Restylane Refyne and Restylane Defyne are brand new products that give your lips a more natural fullness. These products have a unique gel that is very elastic. When we apply them to your lips, you get a softer, more natural look instead of those big, hard, puffy lips that people hate.
There is another new product that restores the fullness of the lips. Moreover, it takes up to two years. Volbella gives you long-lasting volume without bulk. This FDA-approved product also softens lines around the mouth and can be injected to address patient-specific conditions.
With a good lip augmentation you will notice immediate results. In fact, we like to show our patients how they look halfway through the treatment so they can see the difference. After we finish one half of the lip, we see how it compares to the other half.
How To Make Your Lips Look Fuller In 7 Steps
Most fillers contain a small amount of lidocaine, so we do not need anesthesia. During your treatment, we only use ice to prepare the area. Injections are very well tolerated. After the procedure, the lips will be slightly numb, but the numbness will disappear in a few hours.
In the next few days, you may notice swelling or think that your lips are too big. Swelling is natural. Just be patient and use ice to soothe the area if necessary. The swelling will disappear in a few days.
Over the next two weeks, as the gel melts, you will see an overall improvement in your appearance. At first, you may feel some firmness of the gel, which can last from a few days to a month as the gel softens. New fillers use a soft gel, so you probably won’t notice this effect.
Whether you want those pouty, full lips or just want to erase kiss lines, lip augmentation options can give you the lip look you’re looking for. If you’re ready to find the best lip filler option for you, contact us here.

Step 1: Clean your lips with a lip scrub or a toothbrush. I love using the Lush Lip Scrub. Also apply lipstick. My favorite is Burt’s Bees lip balm.
Step 2: Line up your lips with a lip liner that matches your natural lip color. For me, this step is the most important. It really adds value to your lips, it defines them and makes them look bigger. If the lips are smaller, you can always exaggerate them and outline a little above the lip line. I use my go to lip liner from Rimmel in Addiction 018.
Step 3: Apply a little concealer to the center of your lips to make them bloom even more.
Step 5: If you want even bigger lips, use a lip plumper. I use Too Faced Lip Injection Color Bomb in Bee Sting. This product really works! – This is amazing! Admittedly, it can be a little sore, so I don’t really use it every day, but it’s great for that extra fullness.
