Shower Curtain To Make Bathroom Look Bigger – So why doesn’t the bathroom follow these principles? A standard shower curtain is only 72 inches…too short to add visual height to a room. In fact, short curtains cut the room in half and make it smaller.
I chose to glue the shower curtain between the crown molding and the tile surround. I don’t want to drill a hole in the oven and I don’t want to rely on pressure type rods at this point. Therefore, we attach the curved rope to the plasterboard.

I used Sawyer Mill Ticking Panels ($79.95 from VHC Brands at Amazon) and Sawyer Mill Ticking Stripe Bedskirt ($59.95 from VHC Brands at Amazon) to make our own scalloped panels.
This is the key to making the look work for you. You will need to buy large curtains and blinds from Amazon. Chargers are available in all sizes. Buy the same width as your existing glasses; Cut the length of the strip to about 12 inches. Measure to get the correct length. You don’t want machines lying on the shower floor, they should be above the water line but well below the edge of the tub.
Using the curtain, you can easily connect the wires to the board. I use a tab on the back of a bar stool to make this easier. If you don’t have a line on the back, pinch the clasp a little to make it stick.

I’ve put together a few examples that show the difference between these two little tips. First, Erin’s bathroom features beautiful gray subway tiles:

And shows a beautiful shower with a curtain. 🙂 The lower curtain divides the room vertically. Bringing it all the way in makes the room feel too long. A similar idea with windows is that installing window coverings does the same thing.
If you love shower curtains but still want length, consider a little DIY to make them last longer. You can sew or use ribbon cutting – this is a good example:

If you have a straight curtain rod, you can replace it with a curved design. This can make your shower appear too wide, thus making your entire bathroom appear larger.
If you want your shower wall to look long, add a curtain with vertical stripes. This style draws attention to the wall of the shower, which can make it seem like a long space.
On the other hand, a short shower can benefit from a smart vertical curtain. This draws the eye to the ceiling and makes the space appear longer.

Light-colored shower curtains add a sense of comfort to bathrooms and can make them feel larger. Upstairs white shower curtains give a small room a clean air. Black curtains violently feel the small size of the room.
Choosing the right shower curtain size is also important. You want the curtain to be closer to the floor because it makes your shower and entire bathroom look bigger. Short curtains emphasize the small size of your room.
Even if you want to buy more thick curtains, the ones with less design will make the room look more spacious. In this small area, more printing can be felt from above.
Geometric prints are repetitive, meaning they continue the pattern over and over again across the material. Because these styles are orderly and have clean lines, they can make a bathroom feel spacious. Loose lines or graphic prints can make a space look heavy and cramped.
