Before we begin the transformation, let’s take a look at the guest bathroom. It’s always nice to remember where you started and how far you’ve come!

The knotty pine covering everything gave it a dungeon feel! Also, its pretty pink surface was not my favorite. Let’s break down all the upgrades we made during this budget bathroom remodel.
Looking at the list, you might wonder how I did all this for $300! Love a good renovation on a budget.

I used this unit to epoxy my old counters and the difference is unbelievable! And it’s only $4!

I shared the process on my Instagram story and many people asked for the full tutorial. It was really simple.
But hated the $4 fix over the counter anyway! So even if it doesn’t work, it’s only $4 and a little stroke to your ego. 😉
I have used the sink several times since then and so far so good! I will let you know about the durability after I use it for a long time.
Color really does make everything. When our artist painted the main living room in the guest house, he also painted the bathroom walls.

It made a huge difference in lighting up this tiny bathroom and making it feel like a dungeon.
I then paint my vanity with a $3 sample bottle of Old Celadon and I love this beautiful color. It adds warmth and sophistication to an otherwise cluttered space.
After all the painting is done, it’s time to replace some of the bathroom fixtures, such as mirrors, faucets, and hardware.
Oh, and did you spy the updated lights? It is the light that was already there. I just took the globe apart, stripped off a lot of the finish, and painted it brass!

I wanted to keep the hardware simple and clean. I love the classic yet modern style of flat cabinets and large cabinet handles.
Changing hardware can make a huge difference in upgrading your vanity. A very affordable way to easily update your wardrobe.
Updating the “sizes” of the bathroom, as stated in the budget for the change, does not mean replacing them or buying new ones. You can do so much with color, creativity and courage!
Since this renovation is part of a one-room challenge, I wanted to share why I changed this room in addition to the main living room in the guest house.
Easy & Affordable Small Bathroom Makeover Ideas
The bathroom is off the main living area behind these pocket doors. In most cases, the door is open and visible from the living space. So, I wanted to reorganize my budget so that my outdated bathroom wouldn’t interfere with everything I was doing in the other rooms.
The front door was also painted the same color as the dressing table to create a unified flow. I painted the front door and moved that color to the other side of the room.

We bought the property 5 years ago. It has been heard since ancient times. The weather is summer. We learned a lot and made a lot of mistakes.
Low Cost Bathroom Updates That Won’t Drain Your Savings
When we bought the land, we came up with two foreclosures, and of course that house was considered unlivable. We did a few renovations to get it to move, but since then we’ve been on a journey to make the skeleton of this house our own.
We want to share with you some ideas on how to remodel your bathroom on a budget. Trust me. It was possible because there was nothing to do and the budget was difficult.
DIY is your friend, especially when the budget is tight. You should do as much of this project yourself as possible to fit within your budget. Now, I’m not telling you to do anything dangerous (eg electrical work) unless you’re completely experienced.
My suggestion is that if the task is not dangerous, you can do it yourself, luckily I will give you some tips on how to get the job done.
Small Bathroom Remodel Ideas For A Gorgeous Space
Hopefully you have enough money in your budget to pay for what you can’t afford.
However, you can easily learn to do something and take advantage of the Internet. There are many sites that will teach you how to remodel your bathroom.
Be careful when you start draining the bathroom. I know you may not be able to save everyone
What you save means you spend a lot less money. Scan your bathroom before draining. Determine your repair needs and create a checklist.
Budget Bathroom Makeovers Finished For Under $100
Now that you have a checklist and a budget, how do you plan to get everything you don’t have and can’t get back?
I did this when I remodeled my kids bathroom. Our men’s bathroom is small, so we needed a smaller sink. I found an almost new pedestal sink. It was a big deal for us and we only paid $25 for it. I did the same for the bathroom vanity because I wanted it to look classy.
Thanks to my husband, we bought an old cast iron sink from a local yard that needed glazing for less than $20. You can imagine my relief.
If you’re considering buying a used car, you’ll need to do a little research. But if it saves you money (and it usually does), it’s worth the effort.

When replacing old equipment, don’t force yourself to buy the newest and best. In fact, if you can’t or don’t want to buy second-hand, it’s worth shopping around to find the best value for your money.
“Green” purchasing is one of the other options. Low-flow toilets are usually a great option, so if you stumble upon one, you’re in luck! They save money by saving water.
There are many other ways and options to shop outside of your local department store. If you didn’t know, you can buy a toilet on Amazon. (Yes! Amazon!)
We’ve also produced a buyer’s guide to help you find the most efficient low-flow toilet.
Favorite Bathroom Makeovers On A Budget
When renovating our bathroom, we did two different things. Replacing a bathtub in a child’s bathroom is too expensive.
Honestly, it was $600 to remodel the bathroom. A new tub costing over $700 was clearly out of our budget. Instead, we cleaned the tub very well. Then they replaced the shower walls with tin ones they bought for $12 apiece and had a new shower.
However, our bathroom needs a little effort. My husband is almost 6’9”.
When he moved into a house with a shower and where he couldn’t wash his feet, he had no choice but to leave.
Cheap Bathroom Makeover Ideas For Your Budget
We removed the old shower and built a new one. We bought a shower fan and my husband did all the plumbing himself.
I then used the same tin idea for the shower wall. Because we were able to save on our shower, we were able to get a larger, more functional shower for less than $500.
As a precaution, it is recommended to use metal sheet walls in the shower. It will make your bathroom look really clean and luxurious. However, cleaning soap residue is a difficult task. When installing, be sure to spray Rain-X to prevent soapy water build-up.
