How To Make Eyes Look Bigger With Makeup
Before starting your makeup routine, you can create bright eyes by using the right skin care products. Find an eye cream or under-eye patch that helps cleanse, hydrate, and correct dark circles.
TULA SKINCARE Face Cooling Feel & Light Hydrogel Mask is one of our favorite face care products for bright, awake eyes. This under eye patch uses probiotic extracts, hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, and green caffeine to cleanse, purify, and wake up the entire eye area before you’ve even applied more makeup.
According to Alice Dixon, GlamCandy UK makeup artist and trainer, this trick will help your eyes look more open. Be sure to use them only on the outer corners (you can add them to both the top and bottom of your lashes if you want!).
You can use web browsers and web browsers to help create the look you want. Applying highlighter to the brow bone is one way to get the job done, according to Dixon. She likes to use easy-to-use products like ICONIC LONDON Glaze Crayons to easily shape the brow area.
How To Make Your Eyes Appear Bigger {or Smaller}
Dark circles can create an illusion of shadow around your eye area, making it look smaller overall. To make the entire eye area look brighter and more radiant, use a shimmery concealer under the eyes to even out the skin tone.
Pro tip: Try using concealer in an inverted triangle under the eyes to create a “triangle of light” under the eyes. For full details on how to do this technique, read our guide to using concealer.
Make-up artist Lenny Billie says: “My go-to technique for making my eyes look bigger is to apply eyeshadow close to my brows.” “It gives the illusion that your eyelid area is larger and opens up your face more, especially if you have hooded eyes.”
When it comes to eyeshadow, the shades you use can make a big difference in how bright and open your eyes are. “When it comes to eye colors,” says Billy, “using light to medium shades will help your eyes open up more.”

For more eyeshadow options, look for an eyeshadow palette that has variations of the shades above. The bold CULTURE eyeshadow palette offers a beautiful mix of bright neutrals and shimmers for a subtle, doe look.
Lining your eyes with a dark color or black liner is great for adding drama, but it can also make your eyes look smaller. For an eye-opening effect, try swapping your black liner for a white eyeliner or eyeliner like TARTE Fake Awake Eye Highlight. Billie says she likes to use a nude eyeliner along the upper and lower waterlines to make her eyes look bigger and wider.
“Depending on the shape of the face, smoky eyes can make your face look smaller,” says Billy. “It’s not that if you have small eyes you can’t wear a smoky eye, but I would suggest that you keep the most colored part of the eyeshadow on the bottom of the lid and blend well from the center to the top to make it look more as a moderate and less as a giant for a full color space.”
Billie usually avoids doing dark eyeliner on small eyes, but if that’s your jam, she says, “I’d suggest using dark browns or even grays to tone down the dark shadow. Also use a dark brown pencil. Waterline, not black, so the eyes don’t look small .”

“I always recommend adding a shimmer or light matte shade to the brow bone and inner corners to bring light back into the eyes,” says Billy. A touch of shimmery shadow pops the eyes, whether you’re going for a neutral eye or a smoky eye.
Try using a smooth shadow stick like BEAUTY FOR REAL STX 24-7 Shadow to apply the product easily to the inner corner of your eyes. You can also apply a highlighter like OFRA COSMETICS Highlighter in Blissful for the same effect.
A very simple step can really make a big difference. Straight eyebrows can create a shadow on the eye area. Extending them with an eyelash will immediately open up the eye area. Follow this step with a curling mascara like ADVANTAGES COSMETICS Roller Lash Mascara to further curl and define lashes along the upper and lower lash line. Dixon also likes M⋅A⋅C Extended Play Gigablack Lash Mascara.

How To Make Your Eyes Look Bigger With And Without Makeup
Creating very thick face lines of Amy Winehouse might not do you any favors if you are looking to create eye-catching makeup. Instead, keep those light, eyeshadows shimmering by creating thin, semi-circular eyeliner using either a shimmery pencil eyeliner or a fine liquid liner.
A regular liner like ILLAMASQUA Liquid Eyeliner is perfect for creating thin lines or an open cat eye.
A small facial adjustment can make a big difference. By creating a curved shape, you raise the ceiling of the eye area, making it larger and more open. You can open up the area through your brows even more by trying on brows or using a brow gel that will help your brows lift throughout the day.

So, let’s start with 9 makeup tricks to make your face look great, shall we?
Dark circles will make your face look tired and smaller. So use a good full concealer like LA Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealer or Mac Pro Longwear Concealer to cover them.
Nice shoes and sunglasses will light up not only the eyes, but also the eyes.
Feel free to use black kohl/kajal on the upper lash line, but instead of using black kohl on the lower waterline, sweep under the lower rim and stop halfway through the lower lash line to make the eyes look rounder and bigger.

Instead of using black kohl, you can try using one that matches your skin tone like NYX Wonder Pencil or MAC Chroma Pencil. Doing this will make your eyes look bigger and brighter.
The inner corners of the eyes tend to be very dark and dull, making the eyes appear smaller than normal. Therefore, using a glossy or satin shadow on the inner corners will highlight the features when the light hits the face. Use something like MAC Brule or cream.
Use a good quality lengthening mascara on your upper lashes and apply 2-3 coats. Do not use too much mascara on the lower lashes, otherwise the eyes will look smaller. If you have sparse lashes, try natural-looking false lashes and see the difference full lashes can make.
If you use eyeliner every day, then start pulling it out to see what effect a small part has on your face.
