How Do You Make Your Lips Bigger Without Surgery – I like full, plump lips, but I’m very serious about injections. Why spend money on injecting your face when you can make your lips look bigger with makeup?
Exaggerating the lips with liner and lipstick can create the illusion of fullness while playing with their shape and definition. I wouldn’t say I have particularly thin lips, although they are not very defined. Also, my upper lip is much thinner than my lower lip, which is naturally fuller. When I line my lips, I like to balance the proportions to create a sharp outline.

Today, I’m sharing my favorite tips for creating a pout that looks as natural as possible. Read on to find out how to make your lips look bigger with just makeup!
How To Make Lip Filler Last Longer
For this look, you’ll need lip liner, lipstick, and matte powder. The lip liner and lipstick should be a close shade, although the liner may be a little deeper than the lipstick.

Everywhere you look, a new actress, model, or influencer is slimming down to fuller lips. If you were to point a finger, you’d blame the fashion comeback of the 1990s and the beauty trends of the girlie-grunge decade.
But the exaggerated features of Instagram’s biggest beauty influencers (Kylie Jenner, Kandee Johnson, and others) are more related to existing beauty desires: lips can range from well-defined to sex doll.
Let’s say you want to highlight your plumpness but want to avoid injectable fillers like Restylane and Juvéderm, which are the gold standard. Here, a few celebrity makeup artists share their tips on how to make your lips look fuller by applying them.
Fuller Lips Tutorials To Get You All Set To Pucker Up!
Christine d’Ornano, global vice president of Sisley Paris, said obesity is something “you say about life.” “That means you’re wet.” Many people focus on moisturizing the lips, but Ms. d’Ornano emphasizes the importance of moisturizing the skin on the lips.
“Lines around the lips can actually be what makes your lips look dull,” she says. (She uses the brand’s best-selling product, Sisley’s Eye and Lip Contour Balm, $140. If you prefer natural products, Osea Eyes & Lips Cream, $60, is loaded with peptides.)
But you can leave the lip balm. “Scrubbing your lips doesn’t really do anything,” says Daniel Martin, who recently did Meghan Markle’s wedding makeup and is a Dior Beauty brand ambassador. “They just taste like sugar and don’t really age.” Instead, she uses a warm, wet washcloth on her clients’ lips to gently wipe away the dry flakes.
Then look for a deeply moisturizing product. Mr. Martin especially likes Tatcha’s Kissu Lip Mask ($30). It’s meant to be worn overnight, but even a few minutes can help. “I dress the model while I brush her hair so she has time to tie it,” she said. “And it doesn’t have that weird cinnamon sting like ’90s lip fillers.”
The Exact Reason Your Lip Injections Look Fake, Study Finds
A professional way to improve your makeup look is to add a few steps to your makeup routine. First, Mr. Martin draws the lips with a foundation cream or mask. “So you can really see the shape of the lip,” he said.
Next, you choose a lip liner that matches your real lips or one tone darker. It gives texture to the lips and provides a base for any other products you use.
“The truth is, unless you reapply regularly, the edges of lip products tend to wear off a bit,” says Mr Martin. “A liner that matches your lip tone as the day goes on won’t become less noticeable as your lipstick or gloss wears off.” She loves Rouge Dior Ink Lip Liner, $32, for its creamy, natural-looking texture.
If you prefer classic pencils, makeup artist Vincent Oquendo, known for his work with Victoria’s Secret models, likes Rouge Gel Lip Liner from the Sephora collection, $12, with a built-in sharpener.
How To Get Bigger Lips? 8 Instant And Effective Ways
Ignore the color names, Mr. Martin advises. Most of the time nudity is not nudity to the user. Most women’s lips tend to have an undertone of purple or mauve, she said.
Once you’ve found your line and defined your natural lip shape, just draw the width of the pencil tip outside the lip line, says makeup artist Beau Nelson, who often works with Kristen Stewart. Anything else and you’re entering cartoon territory. Fill in the rest of the lip with the same line.
Insider Tip: If you’re struggling to line your lips, follow makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury’s advice and stretch the canvas: “Smile a little to add volume to your lips. This figure is expressed as follows.” The art of disruption
A few practical tricks can go a long way in conveying a round pout. You can wear lip liner alone or with a hard gloss like in the 90s. A bright area creates the illusion of fullness. Mr. Martin likes to pair the liner with Charlotte Tilbury Collagen Lip Bath Gloss ($30) on top.
How To Make Your Lips Look Bigger Without Needles
For a long-lasting formula (no matter how good the gloss is, it’s more likely than the lipstick), a cream lipstick or satin lipstick over the liner can be a bold and beautiful alternative, says Mr. Oquendo. Love Marc Jacobs creations ($30 each) for their color; Joah’s Satin Finish Lipsticks ($5.99); and the new Pat McGrath Lip Fetish ($38) clear balms for shine.
If you want a matte finish, look for new gel-based formulas with polymers that keep color away from fine lines. (Mr. Martin Loves Delilah, $32, and Rouge Dior’s Ultra Rouge Collection, $37). Apply and blend with your ring finger for a soft effect.
Pro step: Highlight your cupid’s bow with a shimmery highlighting powder or pencil. “Using a highlighter draws attention outwards and can create a slightly fuller look,” says Mr. Nelson. What about products that promise closure?
Do you all know those old spiced chutneys that leave you with a burning sensation on your lips? “These lip fillers have irritating properties,” says Manhattan-based dermatologist Shereene Idriss. “They promote blood flow and cause less inflammation.”
How To Make Lips Appear Fuller
While working Dr. Idris cautions against frequent use. “If you keep irritating the lips, they will dry out and crack,” he says. Ingredients to avoid include cinnamon, oil of wintergreen, and even niacin, which can dilate blood vessels.
But there are more complex options, said Dr. Idris. They work by drawing moisture to the lips using ingredients like hyaluronic acid (found in Dr. Dennis Gross Hyaluronic Marine Collagen Lip Cushion, $30) or by building collagen over time (see peptide-based balms and glosses like Buxom Full-On Plumping Lip Lacquer $21).
Dr. Idris also noted that if you often suffer from dryness in your lips and this may affect the fullness, you should change your habits. For example, do you lick your lips all day? “Sometimes,” he said, “you have to get to the root of the problem to get what you want.”
