The photo above, just to the right of the blank wall, shows the solution I used to decorate the four largest walls of our living room, an art gallery wall! I used ten framed art prints in an evenly spaced grid that covers our media console and TV:

Design Mistake: Different Walls, Same Art Configurations (aka It’s Time To Bring Life To Your Walls)

Sources: TV Console (same)  | Chandelier (Satin Bronze)  | Molded White Carpet Cover  | Artificial Fiddle Leaf Fig Tree | Carpet | A few empty puffs | Art Prints (details in | Acrylic Coffee Table (similar) | Coffee Table Fire (28″ square) | Black and White Striped Box (coffee table) | Brass Cricket (coffee table) | Gray Plaid (similar)   style |Book: The Collected Home|Book: Emily Henderson Styled|Book: Dogs

My artwork is in 18″ x 24″ scraped brass frames – you can’t buy my exact frames separately (my art has already shipped) but they are very similar and come in the same size and larger, or check if I need them. they are big.

This trellis-like gallery wall can also be used on the main wall behind the sofa without removing the central frames as we did for the TV. You can also create a gallery wall with a unique look, like our home office – see tips on how to create your own!

I love this look and the print on this fern is amazing! Look for a cheaper option if you can build your own for less. I think making a series of photos with one continuous photo is also a good idea, for example a beach style house:

A large tapestry is a great idea for decorating a living room wall because you can fill a large wall with one piece while adding color and texture to the room! You just have to be careful how you hang your rugs because some rugs can give your room a bedroom feel, which might not be what you want. I like the more customized look of hanging them on a quilt hanger like this one:

I’ve seen large bare living room walls with built-in bookcases, but if that’s out of your budget, large freestanding cabinets can give you the same look! good:

A large floor mirror can work well on a bare wall in the living room, especially if it faces a window and can reflect light into the room. it is absolutely stunning and has a very traditional design with an updated twist so it will look great in a variety of decor styles:

Living rooms usually have a lot of square pieces – coffee tables, TVs, media consoles, etc. – so adding a few round baskets on the wall breaks things up and adds texture and softness. I like the look of a group of different corks like this one:

Here’s where I found this basket (mine is large) sitting on the shelves in our living room in NC:

Instead of a set of small baskets, you can also use two or three large wall baskets, such as;

I bought it to put on the wall in our master bathroom and hang it there for a while until I move our furniture in there, but I love it in our entryway! Our entryway is actually the next area I’m tackling – now that we don’t have contractors going back and forth in the room, I’m ready to finally put up the wallpaper I’ve been holding off on for over a year. . Stay tuned…
