I’ll show you how I do laundry and the products I use to keep my clothes smelling good. In fact, there are some tips and tricks that will ensure you get compliments on how good you smell!
** If you don’t know how to wash clothes, find the label. The label is usually placed on the top or side of the garment and gives instructions on how to wash that part.
For washing, you only need a washing machine, dirty clothes and detergent.
Everything else is extra to make your laundry process easier and/or make your clothes smell better.
Laundry Tips To Make Your Clothes Smell Good.
Sorting your clothes into appropriate piles is of course one of the most important parts of the laundry, as you don’t want the colors to run and ruin your clothes.
I sort the laundry by dark, light, white and then towels. Most people recommend doing workout clothes with a separate load, so go for it if you want, but I personally don’t.
I recommend using a stain remover to make sure you are really removing the stains from your clothes.
I just spray this on the stain and let it sit for 5 minutes before washing it off.
How To Get Stinky Smells Out Of Clothes
This OxiClean Dog Remover is my favorite brand and can remove stains from anything… including all the tan on my white sheets ;).
OK, now that the stains have been removed, add water to the washing machine at the correct temperature.
Having the water temperature just right ensures that the dye doesn’t bleed and ruin the rest of your garment.
For sheets and towels, make them by color. I heat my sheets because they are white.

First, you add detergent. Note – It can be in the form of powder, liquid or crystals. Follow the directions on the package for how much to add based on the size of your load.
I do not recommend living in a dormitory. For me, no washing machine was strong enough to break the throat and melt the plastic into part of my clothing and destroy it!!
Then it’s time to add the softener (I only do this if I want!). I use Downy Calm conditioner for this. Read the package to find out how much more to add.
I add these colors every time. I am afraid of bleeding from my clothes, even though I divide them properly and this ensures that there is no bleeding.
Ways To Make Laundry Smell Good
Finally add the clothes. Choose the correct water temperature (read above for help). Your washing machine may have other buttons to adjust. I put it on “auto cycle” in my washing machine so I don’t have to worry about it. Click the Start button.
I don’t dry sports clothes, jeans with a lot of holes, bras or sweaters that I like. In general, be careful with sweaters because you don’t want them to shrink. The icon will tell you if you can dry it! I dried this air.
For the rest of the clothes, I run the dryer on the longest heat setting. After I’m done, I try to hang the clothes or make the bed as quickly as possible to avoid stains. Sometimes I’m better than others ;).
Well, I wash some things more than others. Obviously, I wash my workout clothes and underwear after every wear (mostly… sometimes you can re-wear your workout clothes).

I almost never wash my jeans. I know some people never wash their jeans and then wear a lot of jeans every month.
